In July the Hartlepool site launched the ‘433 Challenge’ to raise money for the charity ‘Spinal Track’ who provides free track days and rally experiences to drivers with disabilities.
The challenge is also in support of Matty Black, Maintenance Apprentice at Hartlepool who has the opportunity to take part in a track day at Silverstone in October with the charity.
‘433’ came about as Matty will drive down to Silverstone race circuit from Cicor Hartlepool, (214 miles) and ride 15 laps around Silverstone (55 miles), which is 269 miles (433 Kilometres) in total.
In addition, Gary Miller (Head of Operations) and Matt Pemrick (MD) have respectively completed the Montane Lakeland 50 race and Leeds Ironman UK in July and 6 members of the Hartlepool team with be joining the Newport site and running the Cardiff Half Marathon in October; the combined distances being 433 kilometres!
To date £363 has been raised on site and a Just Giving page set up by Matty is currently at £2,139.
This is a phenomenal total; achieved with the support from the Hartlepool site, the wider Cicor family and colleagues and Matty’s friends and family.
