On Sunday, 10 May, 578 runners from Cicor locations around the world took part in this year’s Wings for Life World Run. Together, the Cicor Group and Friends team covered an incredible 3,232 kilometers, making this by far our largest participation in the event to date.
Participants from 12 countries joined the initiative, either through local site events or individual runs, all united by one common goal: supporting spinal cord research and helping to find a cure for spinal cord injury. The Cicor Group and Friends team finished in an impressive 26th place out of 14,996 teams worldwide!
Congratulations to our top runners, Kallum and Ruth from Cicor Hartlepool. The winners were presented with Winner Certificates by Matthew Pemrick, Managing Director of the Hartlepool site.
This year’s edition of the Wings for Life World Run brought together 346,527 participants worldwide, all united by one common goal: to help find a cure for spinal cord injury. In total, more than 8.4 million euros were raised during the event. This is what “Creating Together” means in action.
A big thank you to everyone who participated, supported the initiative and helped organise local activities around the world. We are already looking forward to participating again next year.
