Finance Meeting 2026

This year’s Finance Meeting brought together more than 40 finance colleagues from across Europe and Asia in Angers, France, for three days of collaboration, learning, and personal exchange.

Welcome to Angers

On the evening of 18 May, participants arrived in Angers and were welcomed with a dinner event. The relaxed setting provided an excellent opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces, welcome new colleagues, and start building new connections before the official programme began.

Day 1 – Building Connections and Sharing Perspectives

The meeting was officially opened by CFO Peter Neumann, who extended a welcome to all participants and set the tone for the event under the theme “Creating Together”.

To foster stronger connections across the international finance community, each participant introduced themselves and their local entity through personal presentations. These introductions helped everyone gain a deeper understanding of the people, businesses, and cultures represented within the Cicor Group.

Throughout the day, participants discussed topics such as insurance structures, group applications, income taxes, internal audit activities, and country priorities. A highlight was the open Q&A session with Board Member Denise Koopmans, which provided valuable insights and encouraged interactive discussion.

The afternoon’s agenda centred on Cicor France, with presentations on the integration process and a virtual address by CEO Alexander Hagemann. During this address, he shared his perspective on the Group’s development and future priorities.

Following the meeting, participants had the opportunity to explore the historic Château d’Angers and the old town, gaining insight into the region’s rich history and culture. Conversations were then continued in a more informal setting.

Day 2 – Learning, Innovation and Recognition

The second day of the program began with a site visit to the Cicor Angers facility, where participants gained valuable insights into local operations, production processes, and the teams behind them.

Upon returning to the meeting venue, colleagues participated in interactive Finance Workshops, covering topics such as order intake policies, inventory valuation, treasury, and reporting processes. These sessions encouraged participants to exchange best practices and jointly develop solutions to common challenges.

Innovation was a key theme of the afternoon. Following an introduction to Python applications in finance, the participants took part in an extensive AI Workshop. The aim of the workshop was to explore how artificial intelligence can support and transform finance functions in the future.

One of the most memorable moments of the meeting was the inaugural Finance Recognition Awards. The awards celebrated outstanding contributions, teamwork and commitment across the global finance community. In the spirit of Creating Together, the awards recognised the collective efforts of individuals and teams working towards common goals, which have contributed to Cicor’s success.

The day concluded with a special dinner at the magnificent Château de Brissac, providing a unique setting to celebrate achievements and strengthen relationships across countries and functions.

Day 3 – Insights and Looking Ahead

On the final day, participants travelled to Combrée for another site visit, gaining further insights into Cicor France’s operations and meeting colleagues on site.

The meeting concluded with a wrap-up session where key takeaways, priorities, and future opportunities were discussed. Prior to departure, participants received symbolic gifts reflecting the meeting’s central theme. Just as a seed requires care and collaboration to grow, the Finance Meeting emphasised the importance of nurturing ideas, relationships, and teamwork to achieve long-term success.

As colleagues returned to their respective locations, they took with them not only new knowledge and practical insights but also stronger personal connections. The Finance Meeting 2026 once again demonstrated that our greatest achievements are realised when we work together – creating, growing, and succeeding as one global finance team.
